LeAnne Smith

LeAnne Smith holds a Master of Fine Arts Degree from Case Western Reserve University and is a Professor  Emeriti from Texas State University where she taught in the Dance Program for 40 years. As the granddaughter of Oakley Smith, LeAnne was a featured speaker at the 100th Anniversary Celebrations for both the Scandinavian College of Naprapathic Manual Medicine in Stockholm in 2007, and the National College of Naprapathic Medicine, Chicago in 2008.  In 2009 she was again asked to speak at the Graduation Ceremony for the Scandinavian College.  In February 2022, LeAnne presented the Oakley Smith Award at the doctoral graduation ceremony at  SUNM. Serving on the Board of Directors for the Naprapathic Research Foundation, LeAnne is proud to be affiliated with NRF as it continues to research, teach, and practice her grandfather’s brilliant work.


Harris Silver, MD

Originally an ENT/Head & Neck Surgeon, Harris’s medical career ended prematurely due to health issues, setting the stage for a career in Public Health beginning with research on the faculty of the University of New Mexico (NM) Health Sciences Center. By 2010 Harris found his passion as a substance use disorder (SUD) policy analyst and advocate, working to promote legislation and programs to help NM cope with the rapidly emergent opioid epidemic. He also served on numerous boards including The NM Public Health Association, The Santa Fe Recovery Center, and the Bernalillo County Addiction Treatment Advisory Board. Finally, he frequently speaks and educates on SUD policy and advocacy, with a special interest in innovating integrative pain management including naprapathy to avoid the need for opioids.


Joseph Fraley, DN, DC, DACNB, DIANM, CCEP

Dr. Fraley’s interest in health care started because of his grandfather, who started his career in chiropractic in 1946. He served in the U.S. Army as an EMT and paratrooper, then attained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Anatomy, and a second in Health Sciences. Dr. Fraley also attended a Master’s program in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, then graduated from Parker Chiropractic University in 2006, and the Southwest College of Naprapathic medicine in 2022. He and his wife Stacy moved back to New Mexico, and he started in private practice in 2006. Dr. Fraley is a certified chiropractic extremity adjustor, a Fellow of the American Academy of Chiropractic Orthopedics, Diplomate of the American Chiropractic Neurology Board, and a Diplomate of the International Academy of Neuromuscular Medicine. He runs a multifaceted wellness clinic in Ruidoso, New Mexico, which integrates chiropractic, naprapathic, nutrition, and functional neurology.


Jim Zebora

Jim Zebora is the editor of two books on Naprapathy, Naprapathy - Manual Medicine for the 21st Century and Anti-Inflammatory Medicine: Naprapathy & Nutrition for a Healthy, Regenerative Lifestyle.  An accomplished editor/writer with over 35 years experience in newspapers and publishing, Zebora worked at Times-Mirror, Tribune and Hearst newspapers as a business editor and managing editor.  He was also the editor at Significance Press, New York City; ghost writer of several books; and author of What’s Brewing, a syndicated newspaper column about beer and homebrewing.

 A resident of Santa Fe, NM, with his wife Cynthia, a retired attorney, Zebora is president of the Board of Directors of Vista Grande Public Library.  He is a graduate of Central Connecticut State University, and studied at the School of Languages and Linguistics at Georgetown University, Washington, D.C.  In his spare time, he enjoys hiking, skiing, traveling and playing guitar.


Kristi Bordelon, Ph.D

Kristi received her B.S. in Elementary Education and M.A. in Educational Technology from the University of Central Florida, and a post Master’s Certificate in Educational Technology Administration from John’s Hopkins. Her Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration was earned at Northcentral University. For more than 30 years, Dr. Kristi Bordelon has been involved in various aspects of education such as elementary educator, technology integration and online education. She served as the Chief Education Officer for several online universities and created and conducted graduate level courses and professional development sessions for K-12 educators. Dr. Bordelon has also worked with various schools assisting with curriculum development and regulatory compliance.

During her career, Dr. Bordelon has presented professional development sessions at various educational conferences earning several honors including the Outstanding Paper Award at Global Learn in 2015 and the FAPSC Associate Member of the Year in 2016. She has also served as a postsecondary program reviewer for the Florida Department of Education and the New Mexico Higher Education Department.

Kristi is an active member of the Florida Association of Postsecondary Schools and Colleges (FAPSC), the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development (ASCD), the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE), Association for the Advancement of Computing in Education (AACE), and Kappa Delta Pi. As a member of DEAC, Kristi has served as a Readiness Assessment Evaluator, Off-Site Curriculum Evaluator, and on various site visit committees as an Educational Standards Evaluator and as the Chair.
